This paper shows the living conditions of Mother-child Refugee in Okayama prefecture due to the Great East Japan Earthquake. The main results provide following revelations.
1. 70 percent of the households came from Kanto region without victim’s certificate. They are referred to as “voluntary refugee” to relocate in a remote place away from the effects of nuclear accident.
2. 60 percent of the households are 30’s or 20’s, 76 percent of them accompany infants, 82 percent of them separate from their husband.
3. 63 percent of the households’ cost of living is less than ¥150,000.
4. Refugee households’ living circumstance such as family, residence, job, income and regional relations has drastically changed since their relocation.
