The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of participation in an Energy Conservation Challenge, which featured pro-environmental behavior at home. The results showed that: 1. After participating in the challenge, changes to implement more pro-environmental behavior were observed, indicating the possibility of behavior change due to participation, 2. Most of the children and parents in the same family changed in the same way and had mutual effects, 3. Based on the relationship between the number of subjects who participated in the study and the school year of the children, etc., the significance of continued participation was demonstrated.
