Abstract

The Kawaguchi Kenichi Laboratory, Institute of Industrial Science, University of Tokyo, has, in its collection, the landscaping change drawings for the Yoyogi National Stadium designed by Kenzo Tange. They consist of six volumes containing design change instructions and drawings made during the construction period. These drawings also contain Tange’s instructions for reusing flagstones from the Tokyo tramline for the Yoyogi National Stadium pavement. This report explains part of the Yoyogi National Stadium design process by summarizing and cataloging these materials.
