The aim of this study is to establish the design method of the glulam bracing shear wall using drift-pined joint with inserted steel plate. In this paper, we conducted the cyclic loading test for the specimens with 3 drift-pined joints placed near each glulam edge to grasp the mechanical behaviors. From the test results, we found that the stiffness was overestimated while the strength was predicted precisely by the calculation and the plastic deformability of the joints was improved by the reinforcement of full-thread screws, the slit opening stops and the use of the drift-pins of higher strength.
