This paper aims to find issue to increase the number of rental housing units that allow DIY, the characteristics of rental housing units that allow DIY and the intentions of real estate agents who handle these units were identified. In order to promote the spread of DIY-ready rental housing, it is necessary to establish a method for disclosing information about DIY at recruiting residents, establish the concept of Right to Request Purchase of Interior Decorations and Fixtures and the right to demand reimbursement of beneficial costs, create and present guidelines, develop a system for mediation and arbitration, and provide consumer education.
