This study aims to clarify the construction entity and the composition of landscape elements on the embankment promenade in Shibaura-Konan and Tennoz area. Initially, by examining completion years and the construction entity, four entity patterns were obtained and the relationship with the construction process were clarified. By combination of handrails, pavements, and plants, 8 types of composition patterns in promenade unit were obtained. Furthermore, a distribution map was created by above results and by examining the change of keynote-elements that bring unity to the landscape, 3 typologies of continuous promenades were derived and the characteristics of landscape were clarified.
