Japan is a country prone to frequent natural disasters. When a disaster strikes, anyone, regardless of nationality, can potentially become a victim. Understanding the realities faced by international residents during such times is crucial in implementing effective support measures for them. In this study, we conducted an online questionnaire survey targeting international students from a university in Yokohama who experienced an earthquake in Chiba in 2021. Our objective was to quantitatively assess the challenges, evacuation behaviors, and information-seeking habits during disasters.
