This report examines factors enabling continued use of wooden emergency housing after Kumamoto earthquake in Uki City and Mashiki Town, where residential instruction zones established. It has been demonstrated that adoption of reinforced concrete foundations, gratuitous transfer of properties from Kumamoto Prefecture, and the classification of these houses as housing leased by the municipality to residents without government subsidy were crucial factors facilitating ongoing use. Additionally, the favorable location conditions of these housing complexes in areas with high living convenience have been identified as essential for realizing their continued use.
