BASIC STUDY OF GLUED LAMINATED BAMBOO (NO.1): EXAMINATION OF MATERIAL STRENGTH TEST PROCESS

Abstract

In this article, as one of the basic studies to promote the use of GLB(Glued Laminated Bamboo), we report on the examination of material strength using the GLB. Recently, it is concerned about wood shortage to increase the wooden, sustainable resources, construction. To satisfy those requirements, bamboo which is left and not managed, was adopted as structural materials, were verified characteristic value; bending, compression (parallel or vertical to fiber), and shearing strength (small or real scale), by experiments.
