While the utilization of riverfronts has been increasing along with national policies in recent years, this study summarized the factors and issues that enable the utilization of rivers through the transition of initiatives in Osaka City, where active utilization of its riverfront has been observed. In addition, this study analyzed 8 cases of buildings on the riverfront in Osaka City, not as temporary structures, but as daily use of the riverfront space, from the viewpoint of the river - building - town relationship and the building interface, and clarified the characteristics of riverfront utilization.
