The purpose of this study is to clarify the participation patterns of organizers utilizing the event support program for town plazas, using Machiniwa in Hachinohe City as a case study. Results, 1) In terms of the quality of the system, the support project created opportunities for the formation of a bustling downtown area, and the organizers’ groups were seen to continuously utilize the event. 2) In terms of the quality of the space, the participation can be categorized into three types: internal concentration, internal and external development, and neighborhood collaboration, enabling the participation of a wide variety of activities.
