The purpose of this report is to organize and analyze the current status of vacant rooms in detached single family houses and related factors in a suburban detached housing complex that has been in development for about 50 years, to understand the actual situation. The survey methods used were questionnaires and face-to-face surveys. The survey revealed that the current status of vacant rooms in suburban detached housing complexes, as well as the patterns and processes of their occurrence, have certain architectural and social universality.
