The aim of this paper is to clarify the transition of the site uses and building contours in shopping streets in the northern part of Sumida Ward, Tokyo, where a life of integrated work and residence has taken root as a town of manufacturing. We clarified three tendencies of their transition corresponding to the area pattern of the roads.
