INTRODUCTION OF COST PLANNING INTO THE TOTAL COST MANAGEMENT OF PUBLIC BUILDINGS IN SETAGAYA-KU

Abstract

As one of the practical works according to "A Guideline for Total Cost Management of Public Buildings in Setagaya-ku" published in 1998, Setagaya-ku has introduced cost planning into the total cost management of public buildings in project planning stage. This report shows the process of introduction, the studies of practical use with cost factors analysis, the form of cost data base and the tool of cost planning by analyzing the building cost of several community centers, kindergartens and elementary schools. Especially it is peculiar that the relationship of building cost and cost factors are clarified.
