Abstract
In Romania, people have experienced three different social systems since the end of WorldWar II, namely, the socialist regime, the free economy system and EU participation. Theinfluences of these systems on sheep transhumance have differed in terms of managementpolicy and the style of grazing. We investigated details of sheep transhumance in Jina village(980 m a.s.l.) on the Gornovita peneplain and the shifting pastures of this village.
