With the expansion of the extent of the local materials acquired by the library, it is urged that 2- and 3-dimensional non-book materials as old documents, letters and museum materials should be cataloged, keeping consistent with the library catalog for the books. Here special terminology and other devices are introduced for entry on the catalog card, with many examples.
