The library movement in Meiji produced three same-titled works “Toshokan Kanrihô” by Chikuken Nishimura and Inagi Tanaka, which appeared at about ten year’s interval.
Examining these, it may be concluded that European & American library techniques which were introduced since the beginning of Meiji had been transplanted here in Japan already by this time they were written.
This article composes these works each other and discusses the Meiji library movement.
