The purpose of this study is to analyze structure and characteristics of the landscape in “Kisakata,” Nikaho City, Akita Prefecture and to examine the subjects of landscape conservation in the future. Analyzing the landscape structure and characteristics by maps and panoramic photographs make it clear that various type of sequence landscapes exist in a small district. Considering these results, maintenance that considers all directions and that put together on the “island” sequence are important.
