Participatory Design Process has recently been more and more important in the light of effective design and residents' acceptance. The purpose of this study is to examine the post-occupancy evaluation of residents to an irrigation channel repaired by the agreement in participatory workshops for a project to repair attractively the channel and the area along it, in an urban-fringe settlement in Kamo-cho, Kyoto Prefecture. The questionaire survey and analysis show that the general residents' evaluation to the channel is commonly favorable beyond the demographic attribution, and the workshop participants' evaluation is more favorable than the other residents one.
