The resident participation in a stage of decision of the master plan

Yhe case of Tanohata village and Isawa town in Iwate Prefecture

Abstract

This paper analyzes new public participation systems in planning process of the master plan of local governments. One is the system in which residents are involved in planning works as planning stuffs (Yanohata village), and the other is the system in which they participate in planning process as council (Isawa town).
