The aim of this study was to clarify the outline of green tourism and its potentiality for rural conservation by means of the survey of questionnaires sending to local governments in “Intermediate and Mountainous Areas”. There were 16 settlements where the areas of farmlands for agricultural experience program were one hectare and over, which showed the potentiality for productive space conservation led by green tourism. There were 32 settlements where new maintenance activities of common space were introduced led by the beginning of green tourism, which showed the potentiality for common space conservation led by green tourism.
