Syntheses and Plant Growth Retardant Activities of Quaternary Ammonium Compounds Derived from α-Ionone and Isophorone

Abstract

To examine structure-activity relationships as plant growth retardants, a number of quaternary ammonium derivatives were prepared starting with α-ionone and isophorone. These were bioassayed using rice, cucumber and tomato seedlings.
