Abstract
The structure of the novel antibiotic reductiomycin has been clarified by X-ray diffraction studies. The structure was determined by the direct method and refined to an R value of 0.098. Reductiomycin has a unique chemical structure with a strong intramolecular hydrogen bond with the 0…0 distance of 2.509 Å.
