There have been various kinds reports of an investigation about judo for junior high school or high school students. A questionnarie has been to first-year students in this college. Its aim is to examine their motivations and teaching methods of judo in the introductory class. The results are as fallows. They don't have much knowledge of judo. Only about forty percent of them are interested in judo. They usually associate such words as orderly, dignified, patient and polite with judo.
