In the study of supersymmetric gauge theories, a major breakthrough has been made in recent years thanks to a new technique to evaluate observables by direct path integration. The key idea is localization principle, which uses the symmetry of the system to evaluate complicated integrals using only the information near the fixed points. Some recent progress is reviewed, focusing mostly on 4D N=2 SUSY gauge theories.
