Abstract
In recent years, PRTR system promotes management of toxic chemical substances, and risk communication among stakeholders. While risk communication tends to be held between companies and residents, practical cases are limited. This would be mainly because experiences and abilities for risk communication of each company are still insufficient. Through a questionnaire survey for chemical companies, we analyzed key factors to promote cooperation among neighboring companies as well as their obstacles. The results suggest that companies would be in favor of a cooperative style of various types of neighboring companies lead by local governments.
