Abstract

In recent years, there has been a growing interest in the district heating systems that supply several buildings. However, our country has some declining district heating systems that constructed in the high-growth period. Therefore authors extract the issues for disseminate to the future from a case study of a district heating system for residential area of cold area in the public estates Kitahiroshima. As a result, I revealed three problems, that is the building is no connection obligations in the area, non-connection in public facilities, understanding of the district heat supply. In addition, a declining of a case land was also involved to a jump in heavy oil prices. It is also conceivable to use local production for fuels such as renewable energy in order to avoid these problems. As a result, it is also expected effect of local development.
