Abstract

This study aims to clarify the spatial composition of enclosed forest with houses in relationship between settlement formation and species in Polders, Noubi Plain. Through field surveys and mapping analysis by using aerial photographs and historical documents, compositions of enclosed forests in this area can be divided to four types as the result. Three types of all are placed not only for individual houses, but also for settlements as a series of forests.Species of trees for enclosed forests are selected by functional purposes with considering the features of each species of tree.
