A Comparative Research about Environmental Education’s Recognition in Line with Japanese Crested Ibis’s Conservation at Sado, Niigata, Japan

Abstract

Questionnaire surveys were conducted in 2014 and 2019 for the residents of Sado. Four questions were selected from the surveys, and results of them were compared and analyzed. Both surveys showed that 3/4 answered environmental education should be required. The target audience of environmental education are both adults and children, and its contents should handle overall natural environment among Sado, and methods of it should include variety of techniques such as school education, utilization of public relations magazines and so on. Almost the same results were obtained between these two surveys.
