Abstract

In Katabira river basin, Yokohama city, we classified the location of green spaces by the composition of micro-scale landforms, and evaluated the relationship between the areas of classified green location types and the environmental conditions in the 629 basins in 15 tributary watersheds. Green location types were classified into 4 types, and the flat areas on uplands and hills, slope areas and the land uses in watersheds were significantly related to the distribution of the types. Especially, dispersal/slope type and dispersal/retention type are thought to be important for the outflow control in the river basin, and the utilization of green spaces based on the geographical pattern of run-off at basin level, by the land forms and the land uses at watershed level, will be needed for the functional arrangement of green infrastructure.
