In this research, to promote city planning with adaptation for thermal environment, installation cool spots in urban area was focused. The experiments were conducted to evaluate the effect of reducing heat stress due to the difference in the thermal environment with respect to the space where the person stays after walking under sunshine in the summer. As a result of the experiments, it was possible to confirm the effect in terms of human physiology and psychological reaction, human body heat balance, and recovery of increased heart rate, due to the difference in the thermal environment of the space. With reference to the above results, we examined the thermal environment conditions and break times suitable as a cool spot installed in urban area.
