A Study on Characteristics of BIM Data of Multiple Eras for Conservation and Creation of Industrial Modernization Heritage

Abstract

Historical buildings are paramount as one of the most important regional resources in various regions because they have great potential to inherit local historical events and culture and to serve as the core of cultural creation. In this study, industrial modernization heritage as characteristic historical building, RIKEN, is the subject of this research. The purpose of this report is to grasp characteristics of BIM Data of the industrial modernization heritage by constructing multi-age BIMs and analyzing the changes in historical events and reproduced BIMs. The results show that the BIM data was changed by a lot of facilities such as experimental devise, sanitary facility, and furniture in comparison to building skeleton. It founds that reflects historical events.
