Abstract

Fashion industries are taking a greater interest in sustainable fashion with the rise in public awareness of global environmental and social problems. This study aimed to analyze environmental value propositions regarding denim industries in the Sanbi region and which factors enhance their value propositions (VPs). Qualitative analysis was performed on data from an interview survey and applied Environmental Basic Plan as analytical framework. The study finds that the land ethic influences the VPs and infers that VPs are elements of not only business strategy, but also a regional strategy of producing environmentally friendly denim products.
