Abstract

This study reports the results of a survey on the implementation of "Local education" introduced in Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture, in 2017 and its educational effects over the three-year period from 2017 to 2019. The results show that learning effects were obtained from the viewpoint of “learning about storks”. On the other hand, there are issues that need to be resolved in order to deepen stork education as regional educational program. In order to deepen stork education as ESD and regional learning, it is necessary to make the exploration of "coexistence with storks" more prominent, which will require more support for schools and teachers.
