Understanding the Municipalities’ Current Situation and Issue for Decarbonization through the use of National Statistical Microdata.

Abstract

Utilizing the microdata of the national statistical survey, It was analyzed that the current situation and issues toward regional decarbonization as a case study of municipalities in Iwate prefecture. It was obtained that valuable knowledge such as the rules, the current status and issues of cooperation with companies and other municipalities, the awareness of issues regarding future measures by municipalities, and the direction of response. Currently, only a part of the microdata is disclosed, but it is expected that disclosing all statistical microdata advance environmental policy.
