Investigation of the usefulness of newspaper article analysis of topics related to SDGs to grasp trends

Abstract

In this study, we examined the usefulness of text mining for newspaper articles as a method of overviewing trends in topics related to the SDGs. Specifically, we collected newspaper articles containing SDGs from the Asahi Shimbun, and attempted to understand the chronological trends in the number and volume of articles in question, as well as to visualize the relationships between words that appear. As a result, we were able to demonstrate the usefulness of text mining for newspaper articles.
