Study on Proposal for Simplified Flushability Test Method and Validity of the Flushable Hygiene Products

Abstract

Flushable hygiene products are widely used and contribute to the improvement of public health and living environment, which is the role of sewage systems. but it is reports that their products flushability aren’t sufficient. It is two standards for flushability tests of these products, which are specified by IWSFG and EDANA/INDA, but previous studies point out some problems of these tests. Therefore, we propose a new flushability test method that can be easily by anyone and confirm that the results have a correlation with IWSFG PAS3, Furthermore, the shear stress of flushable hygiene product calculate from the test and its validity is confirmed.
