Implementation research on design and management of a community-based learning towards the local human resources development

Abstract

Efforts are being made to promote collaborative and community-based learning between local communities and high schools to foster talent that supports the community. This study aimed to practically elucidate insights into the design and management of communitybased learning through action research. Based on the practical implementation of communitybased learning at Y High School in Nagano Prefecture, the importance of designing instructional activities that align with students' interests, facilitate enjoyment, and encourage new discoveries about the community was demonstrated. In terms of the management process, the necessity of establishing a preparatory sharing session before class implementation, where instructors and teachers discuss teaching strategies and establish partnership, was evident.
