抄録
1. Courses of cephradine treatment were described on each of 9 cases, consisting of 7 cases of urinary tract infection, and each 1 case of abdominal wall abscess and parametritis, and, effect and sideeffect of the drug were examined.
2. Clinical results obtained were remarkably effective in 2 cases, effective in 3 cases, ineffective in 1 case and unknown in 1 case among 7 cases of urinary tract infection, effective in 1 case of parametritis, while ineffective in 1 case of abdominal wall abscess.
3. Bacteriological tests revealed Gram-negative bacillus in 2 cases, E. coli, Klebsiella, Enterococcus plus Klebsiella, Gram-negative bacillus plus Diplococcus, Gram-negative bacillus plus Proteus in each 1 case, and undetected in 2 cases.
4. Urinary finding exhibited an improvement in all cases, except ineffective and unknown ones. Nosignificant abnormality was noticed in clinical tests.
5. No side effect was observed which may be attributed to the drug. In Case 3, Candida appeared on 5 th day of the administration, which seems to be a phenomenon of cross resistance.
