Cephradine, a new cephalosporin derivative was used for the treatment of the uro-genital infection, including 18 cases of cysitis and 2 cases of genital infection.
The organisms determined were E. coli (11cases), Corynebac. (3 cases), Corynebac (4 cases), Staphylococcus (1 cases), Klebsiella (1 cases), which were all sensitive to cephalexin.
Clinical result for 20 cases was effective in 15 cases (75%). No remarkable side effects were observed in all cases.
The clinical efficacy of cephradine was confirmed from above mentioned results.
