Abstract
This paper present a genetically controlled protein variation discovered in dog serum by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The protein was presumed as an acid glycoprotein with PAS staining positive, molecular weight 34, 000 and isoelectrofocusing points of 4. 5. The phenotypic fequencies of the protein types in 100 dogs were, positive type: 80.00% and negative type: 20.00%, and the estimated gene frequencies were, Acg+: 0.553 and Acg-: 0.447 respectively.
