Message From the Editor-in-Chief

Dear Colleagues,

Welcome to the first issue of Circulation Journal for 2021. From this year, some important enhancements have been made in the Journal. The first enhancement is that each issue will consist of articles based on certain topics. In previous issues, publishing manuscripts covering all areas of cardiovascular diseases may have created some difficulty in finding manuscripts that would attract the interest of a variety of readers. By focusing on particular topics, each issue can now provide more information, including reviews and original articles, in the same area and more opportunity to discuss specific topics. Although the timing of publication of manuscripts will not be exactly in the order of their acceptance, they will be published electronically on the website immediately after acceptance.

The second enhancement is a change to the Journal’s cover page. Now, a key illustration from the review article in each focused issue will be published on the cover page, along with the short titles of representative papers, to provide an overview of the contents and to draw readers’ attention.

The third enhancement is the invitation of review articles from abroad, especially from Asia and Oceania. We will invite outstanding investigators to write reviews on particular topics, including promising up-and-coming investigators. We want the Journal to play a role in introducing excellent researchers in particular fields to the world.

We will do our best to maintain and further enhance the scientific quality of the Journal so that it is recognized as a leading international medical journal. Finally, I appreciate the great contributions from all authors who submit valuable manuscripts to Circulation Journal.
