Abstract

Two new flavonoid dimers (1, 2) consisting of flavan-chalcone together with three known compounds (3—5) were isolated from the ethanol extract of the whole plants of Sarcandra hainanensis. Their structures were determined by extensive spectroscopic analysis. Human immunodeficiency virus-1 integrase inhibition activities of compounds 1 and 2 were evaluated and they showed weak activities with IC₅₀ at 18.05 and 25.27 μM, respectively.
