Abstract

Herein, we report the visible-light-induced oxidation of halogenated hydrocarbons (HHCs) in the presence of chlorine dioxide (ClO₂^•), which enables the in situ formation of acyl chlorides that can be readily transformed into a variety of amides by the addition of amines.
