Abstract
DL-Arabinose and DL-ribose were synthesized from 2-trans-5-ethoxy-2, 4-pentadien-1-ol acetate, which was prepared by trans-hydrogenation of 5-ethoxy-4-penten-2-yn-1-ol with lithium aluminum hydride.
