Abstract

1-Methyl-1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8-hexahydro-13H-benz [g] indolo [2, 3-a] quinolizinium salt (VIII, R=CH₃) was synthesized from 3-chloro-5-methyl-5, 6.7, 8-tetrahydroisoquinoline (Va), in which case the intermediary quaternary bromide (VIIa) was isolated.
