Abstract
Metabolic products of sulfamethomidine excreted in human urine were examined by paper chromatography and three metabolites were detected. Unchanged sulfamethomidine and N4-acetylsulfamethomidine were confirmed by paper chromatography. And, the other one was isolated and identified to be sodium sulfamethomidine-N1-D-glucopyranosiduronate containing 1 mole of water of crystallization by the comparison of infrared and ultraviolet spectrographic data, and Rf values with the synthetic specimen.
