抄録
The chemical structure of glycoside E (Ia), C27H44O6, mp 239-240°, [α]22D-69.9°, which was isolated from Bei-Wujiapi (cortex of Periploca sepium BGE.), was established to be ⊿5-pregnene-3β, 17α, 20α-triol (20)-β-D-canaropyranoside. It is interesting that glycoside E is the second example of the pregnane type glycoside whose sugar moiety links to the C20-hydroxyl group other than C3-hydroxyl group of the aglycone.
