Constituents of Chinese Crude Drug"Wujiapi". VI. Studies on the Aglycones of Steroidal Glycosides of Bei-Wujiapi (2)

Abstract

The steroidal aglycone which was obtained by hydrolysis of the glycosidic fraction of Chinese crude drug"Bei-Wujiapi ( ?? ?? ?? ?? )"with dilute acid was identified as 21-O-methyl-⊿⁵-pregnene-3β, 14β, 17β, 21-tetraol-20-one (Ia). It is very interesting that the steroid having an O-methyl group at C₂₁ was found in the natural products.
