Abstract
The 5, 6, 12, 13-tetrahydro-7-methyl-7H-dibenz [b, f] azonines (1), (10) and (11) were heated in the presence of mercuric acetate to yield the corresponding N-demethylated derivatives (8), (13) and (14), respectively.
